Try Blistex..it's great.
Yes it could be a cold sore, or it could be that a food or fruit is causing the problem. The sour in some foods and drinks can burn the deft skin around the lips.
Use Blistex the green tube or the medicated. That stuff is close to magic
If it's a cold sore you should see something that looks close to it. It sounds to me like you own a vitamin B deficiency and possibly C. I'd grasp a B complex vitamin and some vitamin C at the store and try it for a while. Also keep yourself ably hydrated, since this is the most common inflict of chapped lips. And try to chomp through more fresh fruits and vegetables.
POKE A HOLE IN A VITAMIN E CAPSULE AND PUT THE OIL ON THE CORNERS OF YOUR MOUTH.
"With inflammation of the lips (cheilitis), the corners of the mouth may become stinging, irritated, red, cracked, and scaly. Cheilitis may result from a not as much as of vitamin B2 in the diet, but this less is rare within the United States and can be treated by taking supplements of this vitamin.
Most commonly, skinfolds and irritated skin (angular cheilitis) may develop in the corners of the mouth if a human being has dentures that do not separate the jaws satisfactorily. Treatment consists of replacing the dentures, which helps muffle the folds at the corners of the mouth."
