Can swallowing plastic hurt me?

I swallowed a little piece of plastic that broke sour of a lid. That's a lid on top of a "to go" cup from Arby's. When I pushed the straw within, the slit they have be tight, so I pushed my finger into it, and a piece fell in the shake. I couldn't see where on earth it went, but figure it had to be at the top of the shake. I thought I feel it go down my throat. The shake is futile, and there's no plastic piece in the cup. Will it hurt me, or mess up my stomach? Seems silly, but who know. It could be sharp enough to cut my insides, no?Can swallowing plastic hurt me?

If it doesn't hurt not you should be fine. I certainly eat profoundly of plastic to aid in digesting. I win constipated easily, and plastic really softens up my stools.
No, plastic wont do much. It will lately burn in your stomach(acids) and since its not usefull surrounded by your stomach, you will just poo it out. Now, chalice, thats a problem.
If it was sharp in attendance is a possibility it could irritate anywhere along your GI tract. If I were I would probably would obtain it checked out, bleeding on your GI tract can be serious.
