Would these type of painkillers get rid of the aching when one is on a methadone maintance program. Say I needed a surgery; methadone is not good for throbbing at all, so would a painkillers such as oxycodone work for dull pain? He has to own surgery next week on his knees and they are using suboxone(similar to methadone) for a week then taking him past its sell-by date methadone 5 days before surgery.
