Can I carry my money support?

I know the answer to this is "probably not," but maybe someone out at hand knows something I don't.
I be prescribed a medication that cost me about $80. I took 5 of the 28 pills, and I have an allergic reaction to the medication. My doctor told me to stop taking it.
So, immediately I have 23 pills of this crap sitting on my desk, and I own no use for it, AND I'm out the $80.
I know the pharmacy won't take it rear legs (for obvious reasons), but pharmaceutical companies are loaded, right? They'll reimburse me, right? Right?
